Sensitive skin is partially genetic. It can also be exacerbated by poor diet and too much sun exposure. Having acne and sensitive skin is essentially a curse and can make treating the condition harder than ever. Natural treatments for acne are the best method for clearing skin without irritation.

Ingredients To Look For

Look for products that contain aloe, coconut oil, willow bark, rosewater and lavender oil. These ingredients are potent for fighting acne pimples and getting rid of them permanently. It can take time to see results, but your skin will be soothed instead of angry and inflamed.

Acne treatments that have a moisturizing base are also great. Shea butter, avocado oil, almond oil and coconut oil are common hydrating bases. These will help hydrate the skin as it heals. So many treatments are drying and irritating on the skin. This can actually lead to worse breakouts.

Why Use Natural

Natural products have as little chemical based ingredients as possible. Purchased creams and toners may have some to help prevent bacterial infestation of products. Otherwise, they contain 100 percent all-natural active ingredients. These help the skin stay healthy and supple. Less chemicals and preservatives are always beneficial if you can help it. Stay away from excess chemicals can help your skin and overall health.

Techniques To Try On Your Skin

Wash your face once per day. Frequent cleansing can make the skin worse.

Use a moisturizing cream twice per day with active acne fighting ingredients.

Use a product that has a good percentage of active ingredients. One percent is not enough.

Hydrate immediately after cleansing and toning. This will lock in moisture.

Always apply a sunscreen.

Use moisturizing oil if your skin is overly dry. Dryness can increase acne flare-ups.

Try a rotating brush head instead of a washcloth or your hands to cleanse.

Homemade products can even be beneficial to treat acne problems. Blackheads, whiteheads and large pores can be treated with various food products you may have laying around the house. Treating acne the natural way is often not as effective on severe conditions, as they tend to be more hormonal than external.

Who Should Use Natural Treatments

Those with sensitive skin and moderate acne can use natural treatments. Cystic acne sufferers need to use something strong that can really tackle the underlying problems. Natural treatments for severe acne can take a very long time to work. Most people that have a bad condition want the acne gone as soon as possible.

Mature skin that is affected by acne may also benefit from natural treatments. This will create less interference with wrinkle creams that may be used in combination. They are also gentle on thinner skin that mature skin tends to have.

You will want to try a few things to make sure you have no allergic reactions to certain ingredients. Natural products are definitely better, but sometimes there will be an allergic reaction.

Eating certain foods can definitely impact your skin quality. While some people seem immune the negative repercussions of eating greasy meals, others develop horrible breakouts and cystic acne. Diet does play a role in skin quality. This is because the skin is the last organ to receive nutrients. In order to have better skin, you need a diet that is full of antioxidants and vitamins. The alternative is to apply vitamins and antioxidants directly to the skin.

Dairy Products

If you are sensitive to dairy foods, then it will make your skin inflame and burst into cystic acne. This can be fixed by avoiding dairy. Apply soothing treatments twice daily and you will notice dramatic improvements. Many people complain that dairy gives them acne, and it is a major culprit of acne problems.

Processed Food

All of the salt and chemicals in processed food can really increase inflammation and acne problems. Once you cut out these foods your skin will clear up. In combination with topical treatments you will have clearer skin in no time. Processed foods dehydrate the skin, so you will need to moisturize often to restore natural balance.

Oily Food

Greasy food can clog pores and make your skin oilier. Notice if you eat a bunch of French fries, your skin feels really gross after. It’s no wonder these foods clog your pores. Take care of your skin by eliminating fried and oily foods. Wash your hands after eating them when you do eat them, and don’t touch your face.

Nuts

Nuts don’t effect everyone, but for those with a sensitivity to nuts, they can make the skin worse. The high fat content and salt that is often added increase acne and redness. You can eliminate nuts most of the time and see almost immediate benefits. Don’t remove them altogether though, since they do contain a lot of vitamins and minerals.

Dehydration

Most people are chronically dehydrated. Not consuming enough water can cause dry skin and other imbalances. These imbalances lead to acne and flakes, as well as dull skin that doesn’t repair itself fast enough. The best step to treat acne is to start drinking plenty of water. Drink until your urine is clear. Your skin will thank you and you will love your new skin.

Combining Diet And Treatments

The best way to see clearer skin is to combine healthy eating with topical treatments. The better you eat the healthier your skin. Exercising also plays a major role in skin health. Exercise purges toxins from the skin so that it can breathe and be healthy. Just make sure to use a wipe after exercise to remove sweat, or the opposite will happen.

Healthy Tips For Clear Skin:

Eat plenty of fruits and veggies.

Drink enough water every single day. At least three liters are recommended.

Follow a consistent routine for treating acne. Cleanse, medicate and moisturize.

If you don’t see improvement, try stronger products and continue eating healthy.

Choosing an acne treatment for your skin type is the most important thing when treating your condition. If you use the wrong products, then your skin will not respond and possibly get worse. Choosing a balanced regimen that meets your needs will result in clear beautiful skin.

Acne Treatments For Oily Skin

Teenagers with oily skin often have acne. Oily skin is complicated because oil production is uncontrollable and clogs pores quickly. It also looks shiny and unattractive. The best thing to do for oily skin is moisturize! An oil-free moisturizer with anti-acne ingredients will balance the skin. Sometimes oily skin is just dry skin that is overproducing oil to combat the problem. Even those with excess oil production need a moisturizer.

Oily-skin types will also want to use a full arsenal of products. Toner, moisturizer, cleanser and clay masks are recommended for completely treating the condition. Oily skin requires a lot of maintenance, and definitely more than other skin types.

Special makeup is recommended too. Oil-free makeup with acne-fighting ingredients will help the skin heal without clogging pores even more.

Luckily, this type of skin allows for tougher treatments. Most people with excess oil can tolerate higher levels of ingredients that fight acne.

Acne Treatments For Dry Skin

Dry skin is difficult to treat. This is because acne treatments are often drying. Active ingredients that fight breakouts are known to dry the skin further. So someone with dry skin can use sensitive-skin formulas. Rich moisturizers are also important for treating dry skin with acne.

Dry-skin types should use moisturizing masks as a follow up to their normal treatment plan. Moisture is important for dry skin to stay healthy. A soothing and rich mask will help clear up problems and provide ample moisture.

The main thing to focus on is washing the face only once per day. Using moisturizer twice per day is going to be beneficial, as dried-out skin will increase breakout frequencies.

Acne Treatments For Combination Skin

Combination skin is so common. There are special products on the market specifically for combination skin. They will balance oil while neutralizing dryness. These products are perfect for the person with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks.

Those with combination skin can also use spot treatments. Dab product where the problems are and then use a different product somewhere else. This targets the right areas to help treat the skin effectively.

Tips For All Skin Types

Consistency is key when treating acne. If you follow a program for any period of time, then you will see benefits. Stopping and going will only make the problem worse and you won’t get a clear idea of how products are working for you.

It is very possible for your skin to change. If you move to a new environment, then you may need to change your routine to match. Some people move from a humid environment to a dry one and switch from oily to dry skin. This is important to pay attention to.

Whatever you do, always make sure you are using the right products for your skin.

When treating acne you have a number of choices and combinations to choose from. It can be difficult to know what will work best for you. Each treatment type is best suited for a certain skin-type or condition.

Over-The-Counter Topical Treatments

OTC products are designed to be a quick fix for minor to moderate acne. Many contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Sulfur is also used in some high-end over-the-counter acne treatments. They are designed to kill surface bacteria and remove dead-skin cells. This helps unclog pores that can become inflamed because of the dead skin. Over-the-counter products include cleansers, moisturizers, active treatment gels, toners and facial masks.

Topical Treatments By Prescription Only

A dermatologist can prescribe topical acne treatments that are by prescription only. These usually have higher concentrations of an active ingredient and fewer filler ingredients. Strong benzoyl peroxide treatments are usually prescribed. There are also retinoid treatments that are commonly used for inflammatory and painful acne. Prescription treatments are usually tough and cause irritation, redness, burning and even peeling. You can sit through the discomfort or gradually introduce the product to your skin. Using thick moisturizing creams help to reduce irritation. Washing off the medicated treatments after a few hours can also help reduce side effects.

Antibiotics

Antibiotics combined with a topical treatment can clear up severe acne in a matter of days. In fact, anyone that has a bacterial infection can take antibiotics and notice clearer skin. These are taken for short periods of time. Some people may find that they are allergic to antibiotics used to treat acne. The most common treatment is with the use of penicillin.

This treatment method is not recommended for women taking oral contraceptives.

Oral Contraceptives

While this is only useful for women, birth control pills can dramatically improve acne conditions. It is considered a great treatment for cystic acne. Ortho Tri-Cyclen is one of the most commonly prescribed birth control for acne clearing.

Cosmetic Procedures

Using peels and microdermabrasion can help clear acne immensely. They not only clear blemishes, but prevent scars and discoloration from happening. The only downside is that they can be expensive and require a professional to administer the treatments.

Facial Masks

Facial masks are fun twice weekly acne treatments that can help stubborn blemishes go away. They also heal scars and purge clogged pores. Clay masks absorb and control oily skin. There are skin masks for a number of skin concerns. Some even have a high sulfur content to help eliminate breakouts. Look for active ingredients and clay. These can be applied after cleansing to complete your skincare routine.

Deciding What Is Best For You

Over-the-counter treatments are always going to be the cheapest option. Sometimes the cheaper products are effective, other times they are not worth your cash. Read reviews before making a decision. Check if the product will work for your skin type. If you have known sensitivities to ingredients, then do not purchase products with those ingredients. You will save a lot of money and time!

Skin, a four alphabet word but does a lot of work. It is one of the biggest organs of our body. It is composed of three primary layers:

1.	The epidermis, it is the outer layer of the skin covering the exterior body surfaces, which acts as a barrier to pathogens and bacteria. It provides waterproofing and acts as a shield against any kind of infection. It does not contain any blood vessels. It is made up of four types of cells:

a.	keratinocytes,
b.	melanocytes,
c.	Langerhans and
d.	Merkels.

The epidermis also helps the skin to regulate body temperature.

2.	The dermis, it is the deep vascular inner layer of the skin, which serves as a location for the Outgrowth of skin. It consists of connective tissue and cushions the body from any kind of stress and strain.
3.	The hypodermis, it is the layer of cells secretes the tough semitransparent horny substance called chitinous cuticle.

We can protect our skin in various ways. The most normal way used by almost everyone now days is skin cream. No doubt, it is effective but it is artificial and its effect fades away after a particular amount of time. Therefore, we must take some home remedies. We should avoid unnecessarily exposure of our skin to sun.

A balanced diet definitely helps by giving your skin a healthy glow. Drinking an optimum amount of water hydrates your skin and keeps it blemish free. We must avoid excessive consumption of heavy and oily foods. We can also go for good quality natural skin care creams, as there is no harm in using natural creams.

As the skin ages, its strength decreases and can be easily damaged by any outer attack or physical injury. Its repair system also slows down which results in slow clotting of blood at times of major physical injury. Thus, skin loses its ability to heal itself as the person ages. Aged skin also receives less blood flow and interference in gland activity decreases. Skin ageing is mainly caused by fall in elasticity.

We can control this fall in elasticity my various means, not to worry, we can also regain the elasticity of skin. There are various techniques to do so. Now days everyone is very much concerned about there health and health related problems. This increased concern of public towards their health has caused the development of various skin care centers and skin care products.

A highly qualified and a good health professional can help you in selecting an appropriate skin care product. He would tell you about various ill effects of the ingredients used in low quality products. One should always go for a high quality certified product containing natural ingredients such as a protein array also known as Functional Keratin, Phytessence Wakame etc. because artificial ingredients can harm your skin in many other ways instead of healing your skin.

Other option other than aging creams is cosmetic surgery. They promise quick results, but most people forget about long revival periods, high costs and unnatural results. Many people also go their homes unsatisfied by the results. Therefore, its better one should go for natural creams instead of artificial surgery.

Acne is a skin disease, which makes our face not so good looking. Blockages in follicles lead to the development of acnes.
This mainly happens in teenage because at that time everyone goes through his or her puberty period. There are various reasons, which can cause acnes. Heredity is the main reason. It has been seen through studies that person suffering from acne tend to have somewhat low level of vitamin A flowing through their bloodstream as compare to those who are free from acne. It has also seen that in case of severe acne the circulation of vitamin E also tends to low down.

There are various misconceptions about acnes. Some people think dirt is the main reason of acnes but this is not true. This misconception is there because of the blackheads appear on the skin which look like dirt stuck in the opening pores of the skin. That black color is simply oxidized keratin, not dirt.

The term acne comes from a Greek word, which means “in the sense of a skin eruption”. The term acne itself refers to the presence of pustules and papules. Technically, it is known as “acne vulgaris” which means “common acne” and it refers to the presence of comedones. This is the most common type of acne. Many teenagers suffer from it.

There can be many reasons to these acnes. Some of the primary reasons are:

1.	Genetic history, acnes are generally genetic, tendency to develop acnes comes from our ancestors but it is not necessary that a person having an acne free family is himself or herself free from acnes as well.
2.	Hormonal activity, acnes usually appears at adolescences because at this time our sex hormones are highly active.
3. Inflammation, skin irritation is the cause of inflammation which will further gives birth to acnes.
4.	Stress, when we are under stress our adrenal or stress glands produces huge amount of hormones.
5.	Accumulation of dead skin over the active pores of the skin.
6.	Bacteria in pores can also be the cause of acnes.
7.	Anabolic steroids are also the main reason for acnes. Therefore, one should remain away from such things.
8.	Amount of toxicity in body also tends to development of acne.
9.	Exposure to iodides, chlorides, bromides and other halogens.
10.	Exposure to dioxins also cause acnes

One must be aware of these causes and must take proper steps to prevent acnes.

Acne is an inflammatory disease, which involves sebaceous glands of the skin, characterized by:

1.	papules (a inflamed elevation of the skin) or
2.	pustules (a blister or inflamed skin containing pus) or
3.	comedones (a black tipped thing clogging a pore of the skin)

Acne lacerations are generally been called as pimples, spots, zits or blemishes. It is very much common at adolescences, according to the facts almost 85% of the teenager get affected by it and this may continue until their adulthood. Increase in male sex hormones is the main cause of developing acne in adolescences, which was accrues by people of both genders during puberty.

Normally for most of the people, these acnes diminish or we can say tends to disappear over time. Generally they fade away after one reaches his or hers early twenties but in some cases one may suffer from them for a very long period. The face and the upper neck are body parts most commonly affected by the acnes. Chest, shoulders and back may suffer from acnes as well. While the lesions on the upper arms are considered to be as acnes sometimes but they are often keratosis pilaris, not acne.

Aside its effects on skin, it has many psychological effects too, such as reduced self-respect, depression etc. in some cases this depression can lead to suicides. As it usually happen at an age when we use to be most socially insecure i.e. at adolescences. Therefore, one must prefer advance and fast treatment for acnes to reduce its overall impact on our social and physical life.
